Meet Zarah

I’m a writer and an illustrator based in the sunny islands of the Philippines. My passion lies in giving life to memorable stories and endearing characters, and making art that resonates with the hearts and imaginations of audiences.

The seemingly mundane details of daily life, nature, and people-watching fuel my creative engine. I find joy in reading illustrated novels, children’s books, and manga. I am a huge fan of the artistry and dedication found in Japanese anime and animated films.

Art, to me, is a powerful tool for connecting people and allowing people to embrace their emotions and inner child. I am the brain and brush behind @oneloveandlightco, where I use my art to advocate for mental and emotional health and to create a safe space on the internet.

My illustrations are created digitally and are often marked with a traditional and handmade touch to them, striking a harmonious fusion of both styles.
